Who we (5).png

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9 NIV

The love of God is shown through Jesus. Before we know this love, we are taught that love is conditional. Through Jesus, we experience the unconditional love of God.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 NIV

We only need to watch the news or look around us to see there is darkness in this world. Jesus calls us to walk and dwell in His light of Life. He is the Light of the World. When we accept Him into our lives, no matter what darkness happens around us, we have life and light through Jesus.

I (Jesus) did not come to call the [self-proclaimed] righteous [who see no need to repent], but sinners to repentance [to change their old way of thinking, to turn from sin and to seek God and His righteousness]. Luke 5:32 AMP

Jesus hung out with the 'outcasts' of His day, those who the religious people of the time rejected. He came for those who are humble and who recognise their need for healing.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 NIV

Life is always changing; people change, society changes, economies, and governments change. But Jesus is constant and reliable. We can trust in Him to always be the same.
